Mothers of the Desert tells the story of Eustochium, daughter of the mystic Saint Paula who abandoned wealth and family in Rome to live among the Desert Mothers of the 4th Century. Eustochium, along with two companions, travels through the desert west of Bethlehem when they encounter a dangerous stranger with a mysterious past. As Eustochium learns about the stranger she also comes to understand more about herself and her destiny.

This short film is an exploration of and homage to the unique feminine spirituality that shaped the early Christian church and still impacts mystical religious belief around the world.
